The oncology department of CFPH was established in 1993. After more than ten years of development, a modern specialty has been formed integrated with clinical treatment, teaching and scientific research. Oncology department has established long- term friendly cooperative relations with the Cancer Center of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and has maintained advanced level of cancer treatment in the region.

Faculty of Oncology Department consists of 1 chief physician, 3 deputy chief physicians, 6 attending physicians, 8 resident doctors, 2 physicists and 1 technician. Among them, there are 3 doctors,6 masters as well as 26 nursing staff.

At the same time, the number of wards has been expanded to 180 with single-person wards with comfortable environment and complete facilities.

At present, the development of oncology has become one of the hospital's specialty departments, admitting patients from all over the province and abroad, and is also highly praised by peers.
