Managerial Science and High-quality Development--A Visit by Prof. Ma Jiaju

In order to further strengthen academic exchanges, expand horizons, upgrade key specialty construction, and promote high-quality development, on March 14, Professor Ma Jiaju, Director of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Riverside University Medical Center, California, paid a visit to our hospital.

CFPH President Mr. Zhao Cong expressed his warm welcome to Professor Ma and introduced the general situation of our hospital and the tasks the hospital is currently facing. He also said that our hospital mainly focuses on developing a hospital for the people through constantly improving quality and service, and actively promoting high-quality development of science, teaching, research and culture in our hospital, striving to build a national first- class, leading hospital with Chinese and Western medicine. Prof. Ma has introduced advanced academic theories and rich practical experience, which enabled us to get closer to international advanced medical concepts and diagnosis and treatment technologies, which will definitely stimulate vitality among faculties.

After the meeting, Professor Ma visited the anesthesiology department and operating room of the hospital and conducted extensive academic and cultural exchanges with the medical staff of our hospital.

Professor Ma received his medical education in the Department of Medicine of Taiwan National Defense Medical College in 1973. He graduated from the United States in 1980 and obtained practice qualifications of American physicians and finished clinical training, and participated in hospital decision management and in cardiac surgery management committee. For the past 30 years, Prof. Ma has established close ties with universities and medical institutions in mainland China. He has been concerned about and committed to domestic medical reform, medical professional education and training programs, medical resources in counties and cities, medical costs, and etc, for better patient outcome.
