CFPH pediatrics department, with 345 beds,focuses on the research of diagnosis and treatment of children's internal diseases and health care as well as teaching and prevention. In 2018, it was accredited as National Pediatric TCM Diagnosis and Treatment Center and the key specialty of Sichuan province.

At present, there are 135 medical professionals,among whom, there are 14 chief physicians and deputy chief physicians, 2 mastertutors, 2 doctors and 26 masters. The annual average patients visits are more than 300,000. Tens of thousands of inpatients are admitted every year.

Neonatal ward was established in September 2016,located on the second floor of the first inpatient building, covering an area of more than 960 square meters. It is a first- class ward in China, equipped with advanced medical instruments from home and abroad.

From the beginning of 2017, the department ledthe establishment of the Chengdu Pediatric Specialist Association, which includes29 medical institutes in Pengzhou, Dujiangyan, Longquanyi District, GaoxinDistrict, Jinniu District, Shuangliu District, Tianfu New District and PiduDistrict .

Pediatrics actively conducts two- way referrals,which plays a positive role in further promoting layered diagnosis andtreatment. Up till now, nearly 100 ward rounds have been made, and nearly 180 patients have been admitted, including nearly 90 cases transferred under thesupport of ventilators. These cases have been successfully treated and highly praised by the primary care institutions and families of the children.

In the future, CFPH Pediatric Department will gradually become the children's medical center with largest scale, best service and strongest technology in southwest China, so as to protect the health of children in southwest China.
